My work with photography ranges from the formal to the formless and straddles multiple methods. Encompassing digital and analogue, colour and black and white, my printed images performs as sites for projected desire rather than as fixed representations.

The series of 4×5” analogue photographs (2018) shows abstracted studio material from coloured gels to mirror foil. Refracted and distorted by an array of reflections, surfaces and adhesive foils attached to the film negative, the foils act as a filter between the camera and photographed object. The flattening effect of these attached foils and gels, which blur foreground and background, creates compositions, which call attention to the construction of the photograph and the act of seeing. 2018
